THE SECRET MUSEUM CONTINUES TO FREAK OUT THE AUDIENCE

I met up with a lady at the weekend who had seen the show a while ago. If you've seen the teaser trailer for the show (http://youtu.be/vSuDZ0UY9Os) you'll know that one of the objects currently in the show is a child's puppet in the form of a bear. The lady in question has a young daughter and since seeing the show, she regularly checks all her daughter's toy animals every time she walks into the bedroom!

The Secret Museum starts to freak out the audience!

I had a great show last night.

The Secret Museum Show has a lot of interaction between myself , the artifacts and the audience.

Last night I opened with one of my favourite artifacts - but I won't say what - where I give an audience member something to hold before I start explaining about the museum. After making my introduction I return to the audience member and proceed to demonstrate the power of the artifact as I explain that the artifact has now had time to influence them.

After the show last night, I was hounded by the lady who had assisted me during the presentation of this artifact. She wanted me to assure her that I had performed a magic trick and that everything I had said about the artifact was bogus. Needless to say, I didn't do this. I simply kept repeating that she had to make up her own mind about what had happened. I wonder if she had a sleepless night?

Google can be a pain at times!

I've noticed that my main website (www.thatsmagic4u.com) has dropped out of Google's index. A bit of research shows that Google has changed it's algorithms substantially. The old days of keyword stuffing are likely to get you dropped. The same applies to link exchanges to a degree. If there is a link to your site from a site which is essentially a poor quality link directory. Google will not like it and consider it a black mark against your site. Potentially this gives your competitors a massive weapon to use against you. In theory, all they need to do is buy a load of back-links from poor sites in the name of your website and Google would kick you down, or even off, the list until you discover what has happened and sort it out! The only question is would anybody be that nasty? I'm only a small business so I don't need to worry too much but larger organisations need to keep a close eye on this one. To find out more about the changes to SEO, have a look at the ebooks from Andy WIlliams here http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Complete-2013-Beyond-ebook/dp/B00C25NFSK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1371464830&sr=8-4&keywords=dr+andy+williams

As a result of the changes to Google's algorithms, I've started to re-design my main site and I've just made some substantial changes to my spook show site (www.thesecretmuseum.co.uk) to make it look a bit more scary.

The parts of the Secret Museum Show which always raise questions are the artifacts that have allegedly come from the dead. I sometimes show the 'Penny Seance' which uses a pendulum made from a Victorian penny coin which was allegedly taken from the eyes of a deceased body. Sometimes the pendulum will react strongly and at other times it will hardly move at all. At almost every showing, somebody will ask if I believe in ghosts. The simple answer is that I have an open mind. I have experienced things that I cannot positively explain but that is not to say that I believe them to be supernatural events. Maybe someday these events will have a concrete explanation but that will not make them any less amazing to me. When I was younger I was amazed how an aircraft could take off and fly. Now I am older I understand the theory but I am still amazed when I'm inside an aircraft and it leaves the ground!

The Secret Museum

WOW! I'd forgotten about my blog! I've been so busy with personal as well as business things that this blog has been untouched for a considerable time.

Sweeping the past behind us - not a lot of use telling people about shows that have been and gone - I'll concentrate on the present and the future.

I've just launched a new show called "The Secret Museum" which is loosely based on the TV show "Warehouse 13". For those of you that haven't seen the TV show, the premise is that the US government dispatches agents all over the world to collect mysterious artifacts which seem to possess unique powers and to place these objects into a secret location in order to prevent their nefarious use. In my show, I play a Guardian of the Secret Museum and present a variety of objects and demonstrate their apparent powers. Real or trickery? It's up to the audience to decide.

You can find out more about the show at www.thesecretmuseum.co.uk

Please bear in mind that, due to the nature of some of the objects and the histories behind then, this show is for the over 18's only.
